Relationships are often complex, layered, paradoxical, mysterious, and constantly evolving. Every relationship contains multiple perspectives—light and shadow, closeness and distance, certainty and ambiguity. This workshop invites participants to embrace the richness of contradiction and the beauty of complexity within a Dos-a-Dos book structure as a creative visual exploration. Create a unique hand-crafted artist book that opens in two directions—a bifold structure for exploring the interconnected nature of relationship. As each side unfolds, images, words and collage reveal complementary stories that meet in the center, creating a visual dialogue between apparent opposites. Through guided reflection, collage, image and words, you’ll investigate the many dimensions of relationship, the known and unknown, self and other, inner and outer worlds, memory and imagination. As your book evolves, seemingly opposing perspectives begin to weave together into a more expansive experience of wholeness. You will discover that what appears divided may, in fact, be deeply interconnected. Leave with a one-of-a-kind artist book, fresh creative insights, and a renewed appreciation for the intricate, multifaceted nature of human relationship.
